Poetry: The Abomination of Your Conformity

The Abomination of Your Conformity

Here I am
Emotionless
Unfeeling and uncaring

Is this not what you wanted
What you asked for
Showed me through your
Actions and in actions?

The caption reads
What could and use to be
Now a denied entry
Upon ripples of fallacy

Who would have thought that there would be
Such frailty in the strengths that you keep

All because
Things are not your way
You cannot see beyond your stains of fear
Ready and willing
To throw away all that
Hold you dear

Disconnected
Separated
This is where you wish to stay
When your complacency is challenged
You fight and fly away

I am not the carbon copy
Of all the things that you think
Will make you happy in your brain

I am the reality of
Love
Passion
A forever thing

Instead
Conformity to you remains
King and Queen

I am merely the
Abomination
That destroys your
Fraudulent, compartmentalized
Dreams
